Multiscale Challenge of Multiphase Flows
When | 14 December 2016 |
09.00 - 17.00 | |
Where | TU/e Campus, Ceres building, CE 0.31 |
Why do multiphase flow problems intrigue us so much? It’s because small details have large consequences. The multiscale nature of these flows is found near the interface of bubbles, particles and droplets that give rise to very complex phenomena on scales that are much larger than the individual dispersed elements. For instance the quality of various products ranging from detergents to plastics depends largely on the interaction between the phases. During this symposium speakers from four different countries and from four different application fields will shed their light on what fascinates them about the multiscale challenge of multiphase flows.
