Bio Oliver Henrich
Oliver Henrich obtained his PhD in theoretical physics in 2007 from the University of Konstanz, Germany for his work on nonlinear rheology of colloidal suspensions and model glass formers. After a postdoctoral appointments in the groups of Mike Cates at the University of Edinburgh and Peter V. Coveney at University College London he joined the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre as Advanced NAIS Fellow (Centre for Numerical Analysis and Intelligent Software). He pursues an independent software development and research programme in simulation of soft condensed matter and high-performance computing. Focus areas of his work are electrokinetic phenomena in charged soft condensed matter, active soft condensed matter, liquid crystals, the lattice Boltzmann method and coarse-grained models of DNA.
