Mixing

Below a number of tools are downloadable to analyse prototype mixing flows. Matlab is needed to run these examples, where in some cases precomputed mapping matrices are provided, while in other cases, like the time-periodic sine flow, also the option is made for the user to build matrices.

The lid-driven cavity flow is one of the classical examples that may lead to chaotic advection. This relatively simple script makes it possbile to move top and bottom walls.

This example gives the user almost complete freedom to create an initial input for the concentration distribution.

kenics

This example provides all scripts to create the matrices, but also to study the effect of T on mixing.
