RESEARCH PROFILE
Changlin Wang is a PhD researcher in the Polymer Performance Materials group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He is working on organic aerogels, which are a type of advanced structural materials based on their low density, high porosity, and meso-microstructure with high specific surface area. The research topic focuses on improving thermal and mechanical properties of organic aerogels. Furthermore, their recyclability is investigated with the aim to render these advanced materials more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Changlin was born in Taipei, Taiwan. After finishing his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, he continued with his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology. He conducted his Master thesis in ASM (Advanced Soft Matter) research group in Delft which was about dissipative colloid assembly induced by a fuel-driven polymer esterification network with catalytic control. He also did an internship at Veco B.V. in which he did research on Ni/Cr electrochemical coatings. Currently he is doing a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Željko Tomović and Dr. Fabian Eisenreich.
