Erik Lemmen

E. (Erik) Lemmen was born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, on March 18, 1988. After finishing HAVO at the Bisschop Bekkers College Eindhoven in 2005, he studied Electrical Engineering at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Eindhoven, and received the BEng degree (cum laude) in 2009. Subsequently, he attended the Eindhoven University of Technology and received the MSc degree in 2013. His master graduation project concerned the development of a high-precision power amplifier for driving high-accuracy mechatronics systems, where a new circuit topology was developed and patented. In October 2013, Erik started as a PhD student in the group of Electromechanics and Power Electronics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on reconfigurable multilevel power converter topologies, and a highly flexible energy storage system. In parallel to his studies and research, Erik has been working as a part-time power electronics design engineer at Prodrive Technologies B.V. for almost 10 years.
