Mark van den Brand

RESEARCH PROFILE
Mark van den Brand is a Full Professor Software Engineering and Technology of the section Model Driven Software Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Here, he holds the chair of software engineering. Mark also actively participates in the TU/e Automotive Systems graduate program.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Mark van den Brand received his PhD in Computer Science from Radboud University, Nijmegen, in 1992. In addition to his position at TU/e, he is a Visiting Professor at the Computer Science Department of Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL), Scientific Director of the Institute for Programming research and Algorithmics (IPA), Scientific Director of PDEng program Softwre Technology and Graduate Program director of the Master program Computer Science. Previously, he has worked at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VUA) as parttime Associate Professor and as senior researcher at CWI.
In addition, mark is editor-in-chief of the Journal on Automotive Software Engineering (JASE), associate editor-in-chief of the Software Section of Science of Computer Programming and editorial board member of Science of Computer Programming, Open Computer Science and Computer Languages, Systems and Structures. He also has ample experience working in various editorial capacities for Elsevier Scientific.
