RESEARCH PROFILE
Sicheng Gong received B.Eng. in EE, B.A. in French from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and M.Sc. in EE from Technical University of Denmark. Now he is working as a Ph.D. candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology, focusing on medium voltage (MV) fast-charging station deployment.
As a part of NEON (New Energy Outlook of the Netherlands), the Ph.D. project aims at investigating the impacts of emerging MV fast-chargers on conventional electrical grids, and then exploring potential strategies to offer grid support under the background of disruptive power electronics and battery technology. The research involves converter and power unit modeling, relevant controller designing, and charger deployment planning.
