Research Data Management

Proper research data management during all project phases is crucial for modern data driven scientific research.

KNOWLEDGE SHARING & BEST PRACTISES

Research Data Management (RDM) is an increasingly important topic for Data Science researchers, both driven by requirements of funding agencies as well as changing legal requirements. RDM is important in the proposal phase, during execution of the project and after the project has finished. Several support staff functions are active in this domain, yet many researchers do not know well enough where and how to get help. Simultaneously some researchers bump into practical issues in their very specific projects that general guidelines do not sufficiently help for.

RDM LECTURE SERIES

Data Science Center Eindhoven, together with the Information Management & Services (IMS) and Information Expertise Center (IEC), is organizing a series of monthly RDM lectures around lunchtime. We organize this series with the goal to increase awareness, share tips & best practices, learn from each other, make use of existing support and improve this where needed. Internal and external experts will provide the talks. This series is aimed at scientific + support staff, but open to all. Attendance is free of charge, however registration is required. Over the course of the year, we will cover all project phases, several challenges and requirements and explain the support of various groups. If you have any suggestions for topics or speakers, don’t hesitate to contact us at dsce@tue.nl.
