Mission
The Intelligent Lighting Institute’s mission is to search for revolutionary lighting solutions. It does this using an interdisciplinary approach that takes society as its laboratory. Well-being and sustainability are given top priority in all facets of its research and resonate throughout all of the strategic programs.
The research lines at ILI address concrete issues faced by society and tackle practical matters. This approach is also known as ‘design for need’.
