RESEARCH PROFILE
Bin Chen was a Postdoc at the Electro-Optical Communication Systems (ECO) group and Signal Processing Systems (SPS) Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in The Netherlands.
From June 2019, he is a guest researcher of Information and Communication theory Lab, Signal Processing Systems (SPS) Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in The Netherlands.
His research focuses on developing practical and novel schemes for communication systems relates to optical communications, cooperative communications, information theory, coded modulation, signal shaping, channel coding, network coding, and signal processing.
Bin Chen has co-authored more than 60 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Bin Chen was born in Jieshou, Anhui, China, in 1989. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China in 2010 and Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering at University College Dublin, Ireland, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in 2015.
Bin Chen has been a Postdoc on project “PATRIOT” at the Signal Processing Systems (SPS) Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in The Netherlands Since June 2016.
From October 2017, he is also a Postdoc on project “NLCAP” at the Electro-Optical Communication Systems (ECO) group, Department of Electrical Engineering, TU/e.
