RESEARCH PROFILE
Cas Pouw is a Doctoral Candidate at the department of Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology. He works on the project “HTCrowd: a high-tech platform for human crowd flows monitoring, modeling and nudging” which focuses on creating a better fundamental understanding of pedestrian dynamics by describing and modeling the flow of crowds in terms of equations and properties from fluid dynamics.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Cas Pouw obtained his master's degree in Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology within the Fluids and Flows group. He graduated in 2020 with his master's thesis titled 'Efficient and scalable analytics frameworks for high-statistics crowd dynamics' supervised by Prof. Federico Toschi and Dr. Alessandro Corbetta.
