I am prototyping a new architecture to enable synergy between added-value services and traffic systems through High-definition Maps (HD Maps). Innovations in automation and connectivity are highly revolutionizing the traffic system paradigm. The frontier of such innovations are highly automated vehicles that can perceive the semantics of the environment.
What potentials can we reach if collective analysis of the vehicles’ perceptions provides insights for managing, planning, strategizing, and acting within the cities? However, such complex level system design requires simultaneous application of appropriate technology, theoretical research and innovative design thinking. EngD program provides a perfect platform to be at the forefront of both academia and industry for designing and delivering such new products. I am currently being armed to solve data-driven challenges in the industry effectively with detailed attention on sub-systemic levels while simultaneously being able to equip a system thinker lens to connect the dots on a bigger picture.
