I’m interested in using data analysis to do good: find criminals, improve health, something like that. What I like about Data Science is that it always ties back to something concrete, and that it’s a creative process that still needs a solid foundation. For instance, did you know that in data sets around the world, you can find Christmas just because that’s 2 days where lots of people don’t work?
TU/e is a great university because of the sense of community. There are study association and lots of other opportunities to develop yourself – sports, politics, career development, or just fun. The program is more mathematical than I thought it would be, which I like because I have a bachelor’s degree in maths. I don’t know yet if I’d like to go for a PhD. I might, but I might not.
