My name is Sonja and I am from Serbia. After finishing my studies, I have worked for two years and during that time, I really enjoyed working in the built environment industry. However, I was still quite eager to learn new things, but it was hard to devote time to it. Luckily, I’ve stumbled upon Smart Buildings and Cities program at the Eindhoven University of Technology. It seemed as a perfect opportunity to remain close to the industry, and at the same time gain new knowledge in various fields, besides engineering.
Topic of my project is implementation of automation and robotic technologies in construction industry. I am happy to be part of the project which assesses the current state in the construction industry and arduous challenges that it is facing nowadays. After the program I am planning to work and to continue that battle. It is my goal to contribute, in some way, to the transitional period of the construction industry towards automation and industrialization, so everyone would like to be a part of it one day.
