There is a continuous demand for engineers, both in the Netherlands and beyond. The bachelor's program Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences provides you with a broad foundation. Structural engineers are employed by governments, architectural firms, construction companies, the supply industry, housing associations, consultancies, research institutions and the education sector. Your activities can be categorized in designing, advising, managing, governing and researching. One of these will probably play a more prominent role, depending on your own interests.
Subsequent master's degrees
Many graduates pursue a master's degree in Architecture, Building and Planning (ABP) and Construction Management and Engineering (CME). They are offered by the faculty's four research programs.
These research programs include:
- Building Physics and Services
- Structural Engineering and Design
- Living Cities
- Design and Decision Support Systems
After completing one of these master's programs, you can start your career as architect, building sciences consultant, structural engineer, project manager or real estate manager.
