“Applied Physics suits me. The issues that we discuss are quite complex. It’s fascinating to learn how to unravel those. Next to studying, I’ve also been an active member of the student union board this year. We organize all sorts of activities: a football tournament, lunch lectures, excursions. In November we visited CERN in Geneva. It’s nice to see a particle accelerator with our own eyes. Being a board member, I’m learning a lot. I’m organizing, presenting and am maintaining contacts with several organizations. It’s giving me a chance to get a good impression and building up a network. Where do I think I am in ten years? The possibilities are vast: I could work as a consultant, teacher, analyst at a bank or at the hospital. A lot of organizations need specialists with a great analytic capacity. I’m keeping all my options open.”
