Everyone has a similar story: that one incredible teacher in secondary school who was able to convey his or her passion for the subject like no other. The Master’s Science Education (SE) at the Eindhoven School of Education is your chance to become such a teacher. This program is taught in Dutch and trains you to become a first-grade teacher for secondary schools in the Netherlands in one of five school subjects: Computer Science, Physics, Research & Design (R&D, Technasium), Chemistry or Mathematics.
The program is building on top of your expertise in computer science, physics, R&D, chemistry or mathematics. In addition to theoretical courses, you gain pedagogical knowledge and skills. You learn the latter two in practice through working experience as a teacher at a secondary school.

You can become a teacher if you enjoy and are able to effectively pass on the passion for your field to others. You get satisfaction from inspiring young people. You are approachable and you are able to communicate easily and clearly. These characteristics suit this line of work as a teacher, but you may possess vastly different qualities, making you the perfect teacher.
The Master’s Science Education at TU/e is one of a kind. It is the only educational Master’s allow a predefined program or a trajectory via our Learning Studio. Here, you can set your own learning objectives and fully design your own educational pathway with individual study programs and broad intake options.
