RESEARCH PROFILE

Aron Aertssen works as a Ph.D. candidate in the Dynamics and Control (D&C) and Control System Technology (CST) sections within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In his project, Aertssen is supervised by Rudolf Huisman (TU/e & DAF), Igo Besselink (TU/e), and René van de Molengraft (TU/e).

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Aron Aertssen obtained his Bachelor of Science in Automotive from the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2019, followed by an M.Sc. degree in Automotive Technology from the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2023. During his master's thesis, Aertssen enhanced the Flat Plank Tire Tester to extend its capabilities and researched the longitudinal transient behavior of passenger car tires. In 2023, Aertssen started as a doctoral candidate in low-level path planning for autonomous trucks, which is part of the MODI project.
