Who are our alumni?
The term ‘alumni’ pertains to everyone who graduated at TU/e in any of its educational programs. Are you a graduate of the master Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, former Biomedical Mechanical Engineering, or the PDEng-program Qualified Medical Engineer? Did you receive your PhD degree at the department of Biomedical Engineering (BmE)? Then you are considered as an alumnus/alumna of the department of BmE. Our department is very proud of its alumni and regularly hosts special events for them in collaboration with Willem Einthoven, the alumni association for TU/e biomedical engineers.

BmE alumni association Willem Einthoven
Willem Einthoven is the alumni association for graduates of the department of Biomedical Engineering (BmE). Our alumni are graduates from one of the master’s degree programs of the department, the former Biomedical Mechanical Engineering program and graduated PhD students of the department of Biomedical Engineering. The association is named after the Dutch scientist Willem Einthoven, who in 1924 became the first Dutchman to receive the Nobel Prize in Medicine for inventing the electrocardiograph (ECG).
Alumni association Willem Einthoven builds and maintains a network of alumni working in all fields of expertise. Our alumni are among others working in (medical devices) companies, hospitals, at universities and in all other types of engineering roles. All alumni can benefit from this network both professionally and socially. In addition to this, the alumni association is actively involved in career development for the current generation of students and PhD students of the department of BmE.
Our LinkedIn and Facebook pages will keep you informed of our activities, relevant vacancies and provide you with information about our members. All members can share messages that may be of interest to other alumni.
