Year 1

Q1 (September-November) and Q3 (February-April) consist of core courses. All courses are 5 ECTS. In Q2 (November-January) and Q4 (May-June), students follow courses from a thematic track. Within their track 5 specialization electives are selected out of a list of 9. Each track also contains a restricted elective on design science methodology, which also includes application through a project.

Innovation Management has 5 thematic tracks:

The 5 tracks are structured around the concept of the innovation funnel. Each track features a set of electives that deepen your knowledge in a particular IM domain. All IM tracks are explicitly oriented towards understanding, modeling, and redesigning innovation processes.

Year 2

In the second year plenty of room is made for personal choices. There is ample opportunity to go abroad and gather 'international experience', which is highly recommended. Students also choose up to 30 ECTS of free elective courses, which can be at a foreign university. To prepare for the master's thesis project, a literature review elective may be chosen as one of the free electives. In the last two quartiles of the second year you conduct your Master's Thesis Project (30 ECTS).
