The N.W. Posthumus Institute (NWP) is a durable platform for collaboration among scholars in the field of economic and social history. The mission of the NWP is to promote innovative and advanced interdisciplinary research in economic and social history by stimulating Dutch and Belgian universities and research institutes to undertake joint research programs, and to provide graduate training in economic and social history across a broad front through programs on a national scale that meet international standards.
